Skin Cancer Surgery

In Australia, more than a million skin cancers are treated each year.

Two out of three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer before the age of 70. Not surprisingly, surgery for skin cancer (and non-cancerous skin lesions) are some of the most common procedures we perform.

During their general surgical training, Dr Kim and A/Prof Smith trained in skin cancer surgery with both surgical oncologists, head and neck surgeons and plastic surgeons gaining a broad overview and expertise in skin cancer management. Since commencing practice in Bowral we have performed over 5000 skin cancer operations. Our focus is on both adequate cancer treatment and optimising cosmetic outcomes.

Many minor skin procedures can be performed in the rooms. More complex procedures, including those involving skin grafts will require treatment in hospital.
